Backpacking in Big Sur
After a year and a half since our last getaway vacation [our honeymoon], we decided to hit the road and head into the wild for the week of Bernadette's birthday!
Two nights of car-camping and a three day back-country backpacking adventure were a real treat for the soul [and punishment for the feet!].
The ten mile steep incline on the ridge through the mountains of Julia Pfeiffer State Park was well worth the blisters when we arrived at a rushing river with 100 degree hot springs!
