Fun With Underwater Photography

We recently had a great opportunity to learn about and experiment with underwater photography with Al Bruton, an award winning underwater photographer. Al had us and other ASMP photographers tohis home in Point Loma where we got to use his scuba gear and mambo-jambo underwater cameras. It was fun but very technically challenging. Half of the difficulty was getting used to the scuba gear! Here's some images from the day.

Jeff and Katie's Wedding at the Del

Jeff and Katie flew in from Minnesota for their destination wedding at The Hotel Del Coronado, now the #1 wedding destination in the country and #2 in the world! We can see why. This location is so classic, romantic and elegant, which lent itself perfectly to this couple's unique wedding. Watch their slideshow to get the full feel of their day:-)

Jeff's visit to Katie's room to drop something off - pre-ceremony while Katie hides. We love how you can see them both in the frame, but they can't see eachother.

Jeff and Katie's friend sang and played the guitar for the ceremony, which made it so personal. Nice Touch!

Love this perspective, with the wide open sky. It looks like they're floating on a cloud!

The song they picked for their slideshow is so sweet - and it goes with this image.

Mike and Tiffany's Wedding: Elegant, Fun and More Fun

St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and The Prado, Balboa Park...

This wedding was an absolute ball! Mike and Tiffany did a great job of blending traditional and contemporary wedding elements into their day. The best part of the day was that from the start, the bride, groom and wedding party were determined to make this event the most fun-filled extravaganza of the decade, if not of their lives. This high energy is absolutely contagious and not one person could be seen without a huge smile of enjoyment on their face. Way to go, Tiffany and Mike, on an unforgettable wedding day!

Churches can be difficult to work with as far as lighting goes. Often no flash is allowed, so you really must work with the natural light. But, it's all worth it for moments like these.
